Global Health Product Awards
About the awards
The Global Health Product Awards recognise health products for their performance, usability and design. IAHPM organises the awards across eight categories, covering nutrition, devices, software, rehabilitation and the ingredients and components used in health products.

What the awards recognise
An award recognises a specific product and version. Reviewers consider the need it addresses, how it performs, how people use it and the evidence supporting its principal claims.
Each published award explains the reasons for the decision. The product name, manufacturer, model or formulation, category and current status can be checked in the IAHPM Awarded Product Register.
Products across the health sector
The awards cover finished products and specified ingredients or components. Each category has its own evidence requirements within the same six-criterion assessment system.
Independent assessment
Two reviewers assess each accepted entry independently. A review chair checks their findings and resolves differences, with a third assessment where the rules require it. Reviewers declare relevant interests before receiving access to an entry.
Assessment is based on submitted product information, reports and online demonstrations. The awards do not involve sample collection or laboratory or clinical testing, and do not replace regulatory authorisation.
Entry and award benefits
Entries are accepted online throughout the year. There is no entry fee, and IAHPM membership is not required. A complete, eligible entry normally receives a decision about 90 calendar days after acceptance.
Award recipients receive a digital certificate, official artwork and an IAHPM award listing without charge. Optional physical items are handled separately from assessment.
Organised by IAHPM
The International Association of Health Product Manufacturers administers entries, appoints reviewers and maintains the award rules and public records.
