Review timeline

Reviews normally take about 90 calendar days from acceptance of a complete, eligible entry. Your account distinguishes the day you submit from the day the entry is accepted, and shows the target date and any requests that need your response.

01

From submission to acceptance

You receive a reference and receipt when you submit. The awards team normally checks completeness and eligibility within five working days. If material is missing, the request explains what is needed and when to respond.

The review period starts when a complete, eligible entry is accepted and suitable reviewers can be arranged. If review capacity affects acceptance, the team will explain the expected next step. Submission alone does not start the 90-day period.

02

During the review

Stage Usual period after acceptance What happens
Review arrangements Days 1–10 Reviewer expertise and interests are checked and the entry is assigned.
Independent assessment Days 11–55 Reviewers examine the material and record scores, reasons and questions.
Moderation Days 56–75 Differences and outstanding technical points are resolved; a third review is arranged where required.
Decision Days 76–90 The decision is approved and sent with feedback. Awarded entries move to the public-information check.

These periods guide the work; individual cases may need a different allocation of time. The account's target relates to the decision, not delivery of an optional trophy or printed certificate.

03

When more information is needed

A request normally gives you 14 calendar days. You may ask for one extension of up to 14 days and explain why it is needed. Any pause while waiting for your response is recorded, together with the response deadline and revised target.

A delay within IAHPM is not counted as time waiting for you. The account keeps the original submission and acceptance dates visible.

04

If the review takes longer

If a decision is expected after the target date, the awards team will explain the stage, reason and revised estimate. There is no paid fast-track service. You may ask about progress or withdraw an undecided entry without a fee.

05

After a decision

Successful applicants check the product identity and proposed public information, normally within ten working days. The certificate, award files and public record are issued through the publication process. A delay in confirming public details may delay publication without changing the signed decision.
