Global Health Product Awards
Help and frequently asked questions
Find an answer about eligibility, evidence, review timing, award materials or orders. For an existing case, keep the entry reference or Award ID available when contacting the team.
Eligibility and categories
Who can enter?
Manufacturers, brand owners and other organisations responsible for a product may enter. An agent needs written authority. The product must meet the eligibility requirements.
Do we have to be an IAHPM member?
No. Membership is neither required nor an assessment advantage.
Can a product be entered in several categories?
Use one principal category. Explain a genuine overlap; the awards team confirms the appropriate category during the eligibility check. Descriptive tags do not produce extra awards.
Can we enter an entire range?
Only clearly identified models covered by applicable evidence may share an entry, with the scope agreed. Different formulations or principal functions may need separate entries. An award never automatically covers a whole brand.
Are prototypes eligible?
This edition requires an available product in a declared market. Concepts without an available product are outside scope.
Evidence and submission
Do we send samples?
No. Submit the relevant product information, reports and online material. The programme does not conduct laboratory or clinical testing.
Can ingredient studies support a supplement entry?
They may be relevant, but explain their connection and limits. A study of an ingredient is not automatically a trial of the finished formulation. Read the nutrition guidance.
Must every file be in English?
English is the review language. Original-language reports can accompany an accurate English summary, with the passages needed to assess principal claims translated. Further translation may be requested where meaning cannot be checked.
What are the file limits?
Up to 20 attachments and 250 MB per entry: 25 MB per PDF and 10 MB per image. Supply video by link. Do not replace necessary report content with a cover page just to meet a limit; ask for guidance.
Can we save and return?
Yes. The workspace shows the last saved time. Submission takes place only after the final review and declaration step.
Is receiving a submission reference the same as acceptance?
No. The receipt confirms submission. Acceptance follows the completeness and eligibility check and starts the review target period.
Review and decisions
How long does review take?
Normally about 90 calendar days from acceptance of a complete, eligible entry. Your account records dates and any requests. See the timeline.
What happens if more information is needed?
The request says what is needed, why and by when. A response normally has a 14-day window; one extension of up to 14 days may be requested. Applicant waiting time and revised targets are recorded. Organiser delays are not treated as applicant delays.
Can we pay for a faster decision?
No. There is no paid priority assessment.
Is every complete entry awarded?
No. It must meet the scoring requirements and all mandatory thresholds. There is no guaranteed winner quota.
Will we receive feedback?
A completed assessment has a decision with reasons and criterion-level feedback. An incomplete or ineligible entry receives an explanation of that different outcome.
Can we appeal?
Yes, without a fee, on the stated factual or procedural grounds within 30 days of notification. Read the appeal procedure.
Free benefits and award use
What is free if we win?
The standard digital certificate, public award record and standard use of issued artwork are free, as are normal corrections and appeal routes. See all fees and benefits.
Do we need to buy a trophy or labels?
No. Physical items are optional. You may also arrange compliant printing of the issued artwork yourself.
Can we use the mark on packaging?
Yes, for the awarded product within the mark guidelines. Product identity and award scope must remain clear.
When can we announce the award?
After the official record is published. Before publication, the team asks you to confirm product identity and the proposed public information.
Does the award certify that the product is safe or clinically effective?
No. It records an assessment under this programme's criteria and scope. It is not regulatory approval or product certification.
Is there an annual renewal fee?
No. There is a free annual product-information confirmation. Material changes still need to be reported, and mark use must match the assessed version and current award status.
Records, changes and orders
How does someone verify our certificate?
They can scan the QR code or use the Award ID at Verify an award, without registering.
What if the product changes?
Report it through the account. A correction, limited reassessment or new entry may be needed. A new version does not automatically inherit an award.
Does a refund affect the award?
No. An order cancellation, delivery dispute or refund is separate from the award decision and free benefits.
Where can I find order timing and delivery costs?
Request a quote with your Award ID, items, quantities and delivery country. The quotation states production estimates, delivery charges, taxes and payment arrangements before you agree to an order. Request a quote.
